First--are you doing what you really love and like to do? If you're in a job or running a business that gives you little pleasure, there isn't a strategy that exists that can make you happy.

There is a 20 year old study of 1500 business graduates from 1960-80. Category A (with over 1200) upon graduation wanted to make money first and pursue their dreams later.

Category B (with 250) wanted to pursue their interests first and were sure that the money would follow.

• Write your Vision clearly so others can see it.
• Review your budget with a critical eye and slash expenses.
• Analyze your advertising.
  
• Be visible-go to meetings--join groups.
• Follow up with your contacts. Don't let them get cold.
• Thank your existing clients and include them in all of your communications.
• Give extra value for doing business with you. Don't cut prices until you think about what else you can offer in your package.
• Talk the talk. Ask business folks how they are doing. Help them think out of the box. We're all in this together!
• Develop and write your business plan. Sample plans are everywhere on the web.
• Don't forget your marketing plan while you're at it!
• Invest in your own training so you're current and even ahead.
• Set S-pecific, M-easurable, A-ttainable, R-ealistic, T-imely Goals.
• Take care of your employees.
• Get with it! Become Social Media smart.
• Get excited and Jump!
